What is GreenBTC.Club Green Node?

A Green Node represents a specific zone within the GreenBTC.Club map, each containing some volume of Bitcoin blocks that require tokenized renewable energy certificate kWh to offset their historical brown energy consumption. To own a node, you must purchase between 20% to 50% of all renewable energy certificates kWh needed to green that zone.

• Node Ownership: By purchasing enough kWh, you secure your position as a Green Node Holder, making you an active participant for on-chain climate action in Bitcoin’s green transformation.
• Ownership Proportion: The amount of kWh purchased determines your share of the node. Your reward corresponds directly to the percentage of kWh you purchased.

The Value of GreenBTC.Club Green Nodes

As a Green Node Holder, you unlock multiple benefits:

1. Greening Rewards:
   For every green activiy carried out by community memebers in your node’s zone, you earn points based on your ownership percentage. The rewards pool is distributed daily according to your total accumulated points.
2. Revenue from Derivative Products:
   In addition to greening rewards, you also receive a share of the revenue generated from the partnerships related to your node zone. This includes brand collaborations and more.
   1. Your share of the revenue is 1.2 times your ownership percentage.
   2. For example, if you owned 20% of the node, you would receive 24% of the income from derivative products. If you own 50%, you will receive 60%.
   3. The GreenBTC.Club Treasury collects 10% of this secondary income, with the remainder distributed among the community climate actors based on their greening contribution in this area.

Node Staking Requirement

After the Token Generation Event (TGE), node holders will need to stake a certain number of tokens to maintain their node ownership status and unlock more benefits. More detailed rules will come soon.

• Node Availability:
  • The first batch of 88 nodes will be available for purchase during the impact campaign, with each node mapped to a specific zone on the GreenBTC.Club map. The tokenzied renewable energy certificate kWh requirement for each node varies, and you can select a node with a purchase percentage between 20%-50%.

• Pre-Sale Round 1 for 24 Nodes in 12A and 12B:
  • To start, we will pre-sale 24 nodes in 12A and 12B on 08:00 UTC+0, Jan 15th 2025 and those nodes will be enabled in the coming weeks for greening.

• The tokenzied renewable energy certificate kWh cost of each node will be dynamically calculated, and you can choose your level of investment based on the available nodes.

• 100% Green Coverage Ranking Rewards
• Node zone will receive additional campaign credit rewards based on the order in which they achieve 100% green coverage. The earlier a zone reaches 100% green coverage, the larger the reward. For example, the first zone to achieve 100% green coverage will receive an extra credit equal to 20% (0.2x) of the total credits earned from its zone with 100% greening, the second zone will receive 19% (0.19x), and so on, down to the 20th zone, which will receive 1% (0.01x). These additional credits will be distributed among all participants who contributed to the zone's 100% green coverage, based on the amount of green energy kWh contributed.

How It Works:

1. Becoming a Node Holder:
   1. For example, Alice wants to own Node 10 and chooses to purchase 20% of the required tokenzied renewable energy certificate kWh.
   2. Node 10 requires a total of 650,340 kWh of tokenzied renewable energy certificate, so Alice will purchase and swap 130,068 kWh. This will cost Alice $1,300.68.
   3. Upon payment, Alice will transfer those 130,068 kWh to this node smart contract then she becomes the node holder, and her 130,068 kWh will be used to support greening efforts with on-chain offset for the community in this area.
   4. Alice will also get 130,068 credits in Impact Campaign based on her kWh Swap contribution.
2. Greening Actions:
   1. As part of the community, other users (e.g., Bob) can also participate in greening Node 10 by using the tokenzied renewable energy certificates kWh Alice purchased.
   2. For instance, Bob wants to green 10 kWh. He contributes 8 kWh of his own, and the remaining 20% like 2 kWh comes from Alice’s contribution, forming a complete greening action for on-chain offset.
3. Points and credits Distribution:
   1. If the system generates 1,000 points for the greening action, Bob would receive 800 points (80%), while Alice would earn 200 points (20%). Both Alice and Bob can use their accumulated points for daily rewards.
   2. They can also participate in the Impact Campaign to earn further benefits based on their greening contribution. Bob would receive 8 credits (80%), while Alice would earn 2 credits (20%).
4. Bonus 100% Green Ranking:
   1. If Node 12AAD zone is the second rank to complete 100% greening, it will earn an extra credit reward of 123,564.2 credits (19% of the total 650340kWh required for this node zone). These credits will be distributed among all participants in proportion to their greening contribution.
